2021 Swimming and Tennis Lessons

Hello neighbours,

We are ready to launch our swimming and tennis lessons for the 2021 season.

SWIMMING lessons will be offered throughout the summer in two-week sessions. Sessions are as follows:

  • July 5-16
  • July 19-30
  • August 2-13
  • August 16-27

There is the option to register for a full 2 week session ($20/swimmer) or a single week ($10/swimmer). Registration is due the Friday evening prior to each session. Each swimmer will have a designated time slot with an instructor. Times will be posted the Sunday before each session outside the Guard House. Payment is required before the first lesson of each enrolled session.

Due to COVID-19, assistance from parents will be required when needed. In order to maintain physical distance, for levels 6 and lower, we ask that a parent or sibling is available to assist in lessons when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Lessons will be capped at 5 kids per instructor to maintain our 12 swimmer capacity in the pool.

Please do not hesitate to ask any of our guards any questions or concerns.
We are here to help!

TENNIS lessons will be offered in a different format this year. Lessons will be drop-in and pay-as-you-go only for $3 per hour lesson. Lessons will run from Wednesday-Friday starting July 5th. There will be 3 daily blocks of time for lessons:

  • 9am-10am
  • 10am-11am
  • 11am- noon

See you on the courts!

Open for the 2021 Season!

Hello CHA community,

We are excited to have our pool open or the 2021 season with some new safety plans in place. Please review the pool rules and COVID-19 screening tool below. This will also be made available at the pool. We will post monthly calendars with the pool hours here but for daily updates (e.g., closures due to weather), please check our Facebook group page (Craigleith Homes Association).

2021 Season Updates

Hello CHA members,

As we approach the (delayed) start of the 2021 Season, we have some updates to share.

Annual General Meeting and Association Fees– Once again, we will postpone the AGM until it is safe for us to meet together on the tennis courts. In the meantime, the Association’s annual report and budget will be distributed to members in early June. Membership fees will be due in July and payment details will be included in the package.

Tennis/Pickle-ball Court Reopening- The Province has permitted the re-opening of some outdoor recreation facilities including tennis courts, so we are now open! Members can reserve their play time on the sign-up sheet posted on the court gate.

Pool Reopening- We are anxiously awaiting the green light to reopen the pool. We have already booked our pool inspection by City staff on the earliest possible date (June 15th) and will keep you posted on the date of pool opening  and the restrictions on number of swimmers.

Community Events- We are excited to launch our community events for the season (Movie Wednesdays, and new Live Music Mondays) but we will need to wait at least until Stage 2 of the province’s reopening plan to get started (see attached). Please stay tuned for more details.

Volunteers- We always need volunteers to help keep our grounds clean and tidy, do minor repairs to our property, and organize/run events. If you have time to spare and an interest in helping out, please let us know!

Best,

CHA Board
